The Austin Enlightenment Society is a cultural revitalization initiative committed to reawakening the wisdom, creativity, and civic spirit that have historically moved societies forward. We believe that meaningful progress happens when people come together in community to reflect, learn, and act with intention.

We host in-person community events that explore timeless human wisdom—ideas, rituals, and lessons drawn from history—and combine it with modern insight in an effort to build a more conscious and connected culture.

Through in-person gatherings, we explore the timeless insights of philosophy, science, history, and the arts—infusing these with modern context to better understand who we are and what kind of future we want to shape. By blending ancient knowledge with present-day perspective, we aim to cultivate more harmonious, adaptable, and resilient societies.

Events are held monthly at Capital Factory, typically on the 4th Monday of each month from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, thought-provoking conversation, and the chance to connect with like-minded people who care about shaping the future.
